Termes and Conditions

The festival is open to all Photographers: Amateur and Professional from all over the world. Anyone over 18 years of age can enter the competition with the exception of employees of Frame 24, their associated companies and employees of any company chosen to sponsor prizes for the competition.

1. WHO CAN ENTER?
The qualifications are open to all Photographers: Amateur and Professional from all over the world.
2. HOW MANY PARTICIPANTS GO TO NOVI SAD?
24 best-placed photographers will qualify for the final competition in Novi Sad .
In case of a high number of applications (over the expected number), the number of 24 photographers will be increased to 48.
In that case, the festival will, instead 4, last 7 days and will have Two semifinals and Final competition.

4. FILE SIZE:
Maximum file size is 5 Mb. Digital images must be saved as jpg at 300dpi, in RGB.

12. PROOF OF AUTHORSHIP
Winning Entrants ( 24 finalists ) must be able to provide a high resolution digital file.
This file will be used only to prove the ownership of the image.
Winning Entrants who do not fulfill these eligibility criteria will be deemed ineligible and disqualified without the right to appeal.

NOTICE
The works of the authors who do not pay the participation fee will not be taken into consideration.
By participating in the competition, the author accepts the propositions and the rules of the organizer.
1. WHO ARE THE JUDGES:
The international jury is composed of 24 eminent experts from the world of photography, Masters FIAP, winners of world competitions, art academy professors (photography courses).
2. JUDGING THE QUALIFICATIONS:
The jury will judge the photos by giving them grades from 1-10
24 photographers with the highest overall score will be invited to come to the final live competition.
If 2 or more photographers have the same number of points, better ranked will be the one with a higher number of high ratings.
3. JUDGING THE FINAL COMPETITION:
Images will be judged category by category.
Photos of all competitor are grouped into 24 galeries - according to topics.
The jury evaluates photos in one topic by comparing them with grades of 1 - 10 and 12 and 15.
12 photographers get points. 12 photographers do not get a points.
Each jury member evaluates the gallery by the gallery until he finishes all 24 galeries.
4. RESULTS
There are two grops of results:
1. Result by theme or topic. (Category Winners)
2. General placement.
Category winners will be chosen based on the highest score for the individual photography for the particular topic.
The winner in the general placement is the photographer who won the highest number of points in total.
5. PROOF OF AUTHORSHIP
Winning Entrants ( 24 finalists ) must be able to provide a high resolution digital file.
This file will be used only to prove the ownership of the image.
Winning Entrants who do not fulfill these eligibility criteria will be deemed ineligible and disqualified without the right to appeal.
6. THE TIME OF THE CREATION OF THE PHOTOGRAPHY
There is no time or date restriction on when the image was taken.

Copyright of the images will remain at all times with the photographer.
Images will be used strictly in connection to the awards and will not be used for any other marketing purposes other than to promote Frame 24. Images will not be resold or used by any other third party.
If there is a request for such, we will forward that request to the photographer via e-mail.
To promote winners of each category Frame 24 is granted the right to display images on social network websites (on our official profiles) including: Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.

FAQ

1. WHY FRAME24? what is the difference between frame24 and other foto competitions
Frame24 is not a classical online only photo competition. Frame24 is a live photo competition where the competitors are at the same pace at the same time and are given 24 same topics which they have to photograph in the same amount of time.
2. How are competitors chosen?
Competitors for the live final competition are chosen trough the official qualifications.
3. How many competitors are selected for the final competition?
24 photographers with the highest overall score will be invited to come to the final live competition.
4. Who Can Enter?
Open to professional and amateur photographers from any country worldwide shooting in all forms of photography.
5. I just registered. Where is my activation email?
1. Check your Spam or Junk Mail folder.
2. Add "contact@frame24.org" to your Contacts or Allowed Sender List.
6. How do I enter?
Create your online profile here, upload your images – Qualifications - and pay entry fees.
Your entry is submitted when entry fees are paid. You will receive an entry confirmation email upon payment of entry fees.
7. What is the Final Deadline for submissions?
All entries must be received by the Closing Deadline - midnight (PST) August 31, 2018.
No entries will be accepted after this date.
8. What are the Early Entry and Early Closing Deadlines?
These early deadlines offer discounts on entry fees. Deadlines are subject to change and may be extended.
9. How much are entry fees?
Entry fees are 35$ (if Payed before early Closing Deadlines) and 50$ after that.
This amount is for all image entrys (4 topics).
Entry fees are non-refundable.
Discount for your fees is automatically calculated when there are other payments made with your code.
10. Discounts on entry fees?

11. How can I pay my entry fees?
You can pay by visa, mastercard, paypal. All payments are processed in USD currency.
12. What is A CODE DISCOUNT and how do I get it?
Code discount is a discount that you receive after a new member is registered by using your personal code. This discount can be from 5-7 $ for each payment.
13. What are Rewards in my Portfolio?
When the discount, which you receive from people entering your code when applying, is higher than the amount of your entry fee that money is transferred for your next year’s fee for participating. If accumulated amount is higher that the fee, the rest of the money will be transferred to your personal bank account (minimal amount of 50 $).
14. How many images can I submit?
Only 1 photo can be submitted for each of the 4 topics in the qualifications .
15. Can I enter the same image into multiple categories?
The same image can’t be submitted into multiple categories.
16. Can I enter work that has been published?
Published and unpublished work is accepted.
17. Can I enter an image from another International Photo Contest?
Photos that have earlier been a part of other International Photo Contests can be submitted.
18. Is there a time limit on when the photograph was taken?
There are no restrictions on the date of photograph.
19. What happens to the copyright of the images and how will the images be used?
Copyright remains with the owner at all times. Submitted images may be used to promote the awards. The photographer’s name will always be credited with an image. (See usage).
20. Privacy
Your personal information remains private at all times. Only your name and country are shown publicly on the website. We respect your privacy and will never sell your data to third parties.
21. What size of files can I submit?
Digital images must be saved as jpg at 72ppi, 1024 pixels longest side in RGB. Files should be named lastname-firstname_title.jpg (no accented characters in the filename).Maximum file size is 5 Mb. Digital images must be saved as jpg at 300dpi, in RGB. Example of good practice: 1NameSurname.jpg
22. Can I submit prints, books or CDs?
No. We recommend submitting only digital files.
23. Can I have my logo or name on the photograph?
Images must not have any embedded marks, logos, names or borders.
24. Do you accept digitally manipulated images?
Basic photo editing is allowed, but digitally manipulated images are not. I.e. Adding or removing things from the photo.
25. How do I replace or delete my entries?
You can replace any image by clicking on the image (and uploading another with different filename). Entries where entry fees have been paid cannot be deleted, they can only be replaced.
26. How do I change the title, caption or category?
You can change the title, caption or category by clicking on the image.
27. When are the Winners Announced?
The results will be announced no later than 7 days after the closing of the competition.
28. I am a Winner or Nominee, what do I do now?
Prepare an Acceptance Speech to be posted on the website.
